I can see why people criticize Guida's striking in general, but in this battle, he was getting the better of the exchanges when they were both flailing about during the second round. During the other rounds, Huerta was landed much easier due to his straighter punches.

The main problem that Guida has is his standup striking though. He loops his punches way too much, and it was even evident in his win over Aurelio. The only time he was successful was when he was able to dodge a flurry and get inside. He wasn't doing that during the Finale fight, and Huerta wasn't allowing him to get inside.

If Guida improved his boxing, he'd be a whole new kind of nightmare.

Sounds like it's written by some forum nub. Guida should cut to 145 and go to WEC, maybe send Huerta to the WEC as well. Yeah right. Like the UFC would ever do that with Huerta they've been pushing so hard and he won.
