after seeing maldonado vs texeira tonight and the ssavage beating fabio took in the first round I would have to rate this as the worst single round bbrutal beating I have ever seen !! A close second would be edgar against maynard in their 2nd fight. Any others you guys can think of ???

lesnar got his ass whooped pretty good in the 1st round of the carwin fight. im sure there's better examples, but at 5am, i think im pretty fortunate my brain is working at all right now

Fabio lastnight was just brutal. 
I was cringing at times. Hmmm every round of Jeff Hougland vs Yves Jabouin comes to mind.. Hougland got manhandled. There was a fight to get into the house on the live season of TUF that had me covering my eyes.. Hmm I forget who it was though 
but one dude just ate disgustingly heavy GnP for 5 straight minutes.

That truly was one of the most grizzly beatdowns I have ever seen. Mario Yamasaki probably could have stopped that fight half way through the first round and I'd be cool with it.
As far as anything worse than that, it's hard to think.... Lesnar-Mir II had a pretty brutal first round. Che Mills took some brutality from Rory Mac.
Koscheck-Lytle was give or take on the same level of brutality, in my opinion. Kos elbowed Lytle's face into oblivion for three rounds. Lytle was cut to shit and blood was flying on the cameras.

I think so, Glover had the full mount and Fabio wasn't able to escape really and just took tons of brutal blows from Glover gnping him.I had it as 10-7 until Fabio was able to stun him towards the end.

I was going to stick strictly to ufc fighters but since fighters from other organizations have been mentioned, I'll go ahead and propose this one. Not only did the fighter survived, he came back and won - also in the first round. Some of you have seen this already but here it is again.
