If this is not an acceptable topic then I apologize and it can be deleted.

I was just wondering what this phase in history will be called or referred to a few hundred years from now. We had the crusades against Muslims in the 11th, 12th, and 13th centuries. I have a feeling this feud in the middle east may be referred to as a crusade in the long run. What do you guys think?

It's not a crusade in my opinion. They were fighting over the holy land, Armed Forces today are fighting for Oil routes and to stop civilian murdering groups.

I am not really sure how it will be remembered, but I hope for the men/women who served it's remembered better than The Korea War.

I'm going to lock this down. We've been down this road before and it always gets ugly.
