There is plenty on the line when Anderson Silva faces Chris Weidman in the main event of UFC 168.

TRT or not, I think the winner of Silva/Weidman II will beat Belfort.

I think Vitor stands a MUCH better chance against Weidman. I think he'd KO Weidman but Anderson is a bad style match up. It's like Paciquao vs Marquez in boxing. Vitor is like Pac with his speed and explosiveness offensively but Anderson is a counter punching and timing genius like Marquez who will always pose a problem for Vitor.

Vitor gets next title shot...until arbitrarily he doesn't.

He did....
He got the takedown from an unorthodox sprawl pounded on silva then went for a leg lock then Silva stood back up.

He tried multiple times after that to get the fight back to the ground using the clinch, probably with the intentions to not look for the submission or give him a chance next time.

That's when the takedown stopped working for him.

It's unclear if the only reason Weidman took down silva was because or the sprawl
It's unclear if Silva could have landed a knee in the clinch because he didn't throw it
It's unclear who the better striker is.

This is why the rematch is happening. So much speculation, so many questions. If anything the first fight gave us more questions than we had before.
The takedown stopped working
The leg kicks were working
The knees weren't happening
The showboating was overboard
The ground and pound was working
The motivation looked lacking
The submission attempt was suicidal

The fight should be in the US regardless of who wins. That said, if Silva wins, it will likely be in an arena in Brazil. If Weidman wins, it will likely be in Vegas.

No. It really really isn't.

TRT or not he hasn't failed a drug test or been accused of elevated testosterone. We're seeing the real Vitor Belfort. He's motivated and switched camps from Xtreme Couture to Blackzilians. Best thing that could have happened to him.
