“I want to start everything from the beginning and win the most big belts that I can. I´ll give the maximum attention to my career and fight against the best athletes. I have this big wish of fighting against Quinton Jackson, I think it would be a great combat…. Then I´ll go to the superheavy category, this is my aim. “

i don't get where vitor is even coming form. first off, he has to actually beat someone respectable besides two virtual no-names: James Zikic and Ivan Serati. he needs to fight somebody remotely close to the top ten in the division before he can even entertain the thought of fighting rampage. he has a challenge from elite xc to fight lawler at MW for the belt, maybe if he wins that he can start aiming high. secondly, i am confused on what he means when he says hes wants to be a SHW...i mean he is supposed to fight at MW for christ's sake. not to mention if he wants rampage thats a LHW bout, which is 60 pounds difference from the SHW minimum. i just don't understand this guy right now, but i do respect him as a fighter and wish the best for him.

Well said.

That super heavyweight thing was kind of weird, but I'm glad Vitor is going to focus himself on fighting and train hard. Hopefully he can get a good string of wins going.

But I think he needs to slim down a little bit and lose some of his muscle because he seems to gas a lot. He might do a lot of good cardo training, but if he slims down on the muscle he may be able to fight for longer before getting tired.

Wow ... great input. I'm going to laugh if Belfort makes a comeback. It's not likely, but it's not impossible either.

i think vitor can make a comeback. he has to start slow with baby steps and slim down to face lawler. the rampage bit he has to train hard. the super heavy weight yeah that is out of the question. everybody can dream right?

but then again he could just feel good about himself because he got two wins and a belt. but they were no where near to the calibur of fighters as lawler or rampage.

He definately seems like he is all hyped up on himself now. This could be a good thing though, I certainly wouldn't go for Rampage right off the bat, but at least back into the UFC. That alone would be a big step up for him!!

I'm excited to hear that Vitor is motivated and actually has some goals. Vitor has all the potential to become a power in whatever division he wants to fight in. Go Belfort!

I like how he said he needs to start at the beginning, because if he wants to fight in the UFC again that is exactly what he will need to do.

IF Vitor Belfort was in the right frame of mind... he could KTFO of anyone in the LHW division... period.

The fact that he says that he wants to fight in the Super Heavy division makes me think that he is still not in the right frame of mind, and may never be.

But, I will go on record and say this, if Vitor started training with Ibarra he would school the entire division.

Maybe he meant HW. The pride 205ers were called middleweights.

I hope Vitor gets back to his old self, he's had some personal problems that would set anyone WAY back. Hopefully he has some peace now and can turn back into the machine he once was...

Vitor is still one of my favorite fighters. That dosen't mean I think he is the best.

But I do agree that if he can get his head on straight he would have a good chance to beat anyone.

Maybe he is thinking straight. If he plans to start from the beginning, that is usually the best way to go if you have fallen off of your game. Start over. Take one fight at a time. And if your any good, soon you will be right back where you were.

It's good to have a dream. Unfortunately, Vitor Belfort will never fight in the United States again. Let us not forget he pissed hot after the second PRIDE U.S show. Rather than serve his nine month suspension, he went and fought in Cage Rage in England.

You do not spit in the face of the most powerful athletic commission in the country and get away with it. The closest anyone will ever come to seeing Vitor fight in the US again is if they pop in an old DVD, James Thompson style.
