Urijah Faber: Offered Yamamoto Fight?

In a recent interview, top WEC Featherweight Utijah Faber revealed that he was reportedly offered a fight with top Japanese Featherweight Norifumi "Kid" Yamamoto, but apparently couldn't talk much because of his WEC contract.

How is Zuffa's fault alone? The UFC tried to get Kid to be the centerpiece of the WEC, and he declined, because of the olympics reportedly . IF anything it is both promoters protecting their assets, and knowing his fight will make the org. it is held in a lot of $. Dana said he would never send a fighter of his to another org. again after he sent Chuck and Rico over to Pride ,and they never kept their end of the deal, to reciprocate. This is a dream fight of mine as well, and I think Kid would take it by TKO in round 3 or 4 .As awesome as I think Faber is ,Yamamoto is just that more explosive and strong, from everything I've seen. I do rank Faber# 2 at 145 though.

I have a buddy who would kill himself if faber lost lol. I love Kid, hope it happends but I don't think it will.

I'd watch that fight over and ov er and over haha

I dont care how good the rest of the card is, I would pay $40 alone for that fight. Featherweights are one of the best weight classes to watch. Especially with Urijah Faber

Agreed. I only saw a highlight of it. and i can say that Uriah was able to reverse position on several occasions.
