Update: UFC Talking with Fitch’s Management

Jon Fitch was released from the UFC on Wednesday, but a discussion has reopened with the promotion.
Bob Cook and Zinkin Entertainment, who manage Fitch and other fighters from the American Kickboxing Academy, told Sherdog.com on Thursday afternoon that talk has resumed with the UFC, but they would not comment on the exact nature of the discussion.

maybe there is some light at the end of the tunnel, but judging from Fitch's quotes in the article, I doubt it.

Jon Fitch spoke with Lorenzo Fertitta today and agreed to sign the merchandising contract. He is back in UFC and will fight Jan. 31 against Akihiro Gono as scheduled.

well that's some pretty damn good news. I could care less about wellisch but fitch would have been too big of a loss, both talent and pr wise.

fire his agent absolutely, but I don't know about training elsewhere, AKA is one of the premier camps in the country, and he has some studs to train with too.

Yeah but it seem from what we have read that the camp are negotiating for their fighters because Dana did not talk about a specific agent but more about a specific camp who seen to run the show from all their fighters.
Anyways, Fitch is back and the others will be back too so. nice episode of Dana vs the world " Dana won this time again !! lol

Glad there isn't going to be an embargo on the AKA. I'm not a big fan of Fitch or Koscheck so it wouldn't have been that big a deal to me, but I really didn't want to lose the chance to see Cain Velasquez in the UFC.
