It has been confirmed by multiple reports that Ryan Gracie tested positive for marijuana, cocaine, and some kind of anti-anxiety medication.

After Gracie's arrest, Psychiatrist Sabino Ferreira de Faria was contacted by Gracie's wife and immediatly went to the jail that was detaining Gracie to attend to him, which he did for the majority of the night. He was informed of Gracie's passing while he was on his way home.

The doctor stated that he administered the following drugs to Gracie in his cell in order to calm him down:

-Haldol (a powerful antipsychotic),

-Fenergan (which has a side effect of sleepiness)

-Topamax (for Migraines)

-Dienpax (tranquilizer)

-OmniPlex (relaxant).

We're still awaiting the medical examiner's report to confirm the official cause of death but the police officer who discovered his death believes Gracie died of an apparent heart attack.

Any US Pharmacists on here that can list any contra-indications for these medications?

I used to work in Pharmacy, but am not familiar with the US trade names.

To me (and I'm no doctor/pharmacist although my aunt is a nurse) it sounds like there could've been some kind of drug interaction that may have played in a role in causing his death, giving him all those different drugs in likely a very short timeframe just doesn't sound right.

Kinda what I was saying.

Thing is, when I worked in the hospital, you would often find numerous patients who were on in excess of 15 drugs at once, condition dependant.

if i had to guess, the tranquilizer and relaxant worked against with the cocaine to make the heart go into overdrive and finally give out. sad.

It's common practise for users to take tranquilizers when coming off cocaine however.

My wife (a nurse) says there is no way a heart attack would cause bleeding from the mouth, that was more likely a reaction to the cocktail of stuff they gave him.
