2 people have asked me a question with regards to the Japan v Brazil section so I thought it would clarify it for every one:

you can pick 2 fighters and both fighter have to be from either Brazil or Japan, you can either pick 1 fighter from each country or 2 fighters from the same country.

After last season I have realized that I should pick folks that are ridiculously dominant to ensure I get maximum points but I don't care this is for fun so I am going to try and pick guys that excite me. I did that to a degree last time and poor match ups and other crap resulted in low points but it was part of the fun. Yelling at my phone and later debating stuff with my buddies. Of all fans in the world how could these be so dumb as to pick X over Y.....it was cool.

Thiago Silva instead of Arona.....I was tossing that up for a whip but thought that while will have a bad case of ring rust Thiago will have much less and is more of a finisher.

Before I make my next pick I need to know are we judging fighters based on current rankings? Or is this fantasy match -ups? My next pick is/would be a fighter who hasn't fought in a long time.

Great question, that's why I picked Silva.....pure prime of their careers I would have stuck with Aroma. IMO he beat Fedor way back when.

When we do the fights we will be picking the winners are selves, most people will pick on current rankings, but its down to the discretion of the each individual person picking the outcome!
