With each weight division being stacked at the moment, and the many more ppvs and free-to-air-shows on the way it is my view that the UFC should bring in at least 1 more division within this next year, a 145lb division.

This would give tallented smaller light-weights like Jens Pulver a chance in a division dominated by bigger and stronger fighters. What do you think?

I definitely agree but I don't think it will happen. For some reason, people enjoy watching the heavier weight classes more. IMO the lighter weight fighters are more exciting so I'd love to see it but it just seems unlikely from a business point of view.

I can see it happening at some point... There are a ton of good fighters that would be much more comfortable at 145...

Doesn't the WEC have a 145 div?

Yeah i agree. But i still believe it should be 145 as 10lbs is a hell of alot of weight difference in the lighter weights classes. As for 285-335 i think it should be 265-335, if im right the UFCs heavyweight treshold at the moment 205-265.

At some point I would like to see ONE and only one more lighter-weight division. As far as a heavier division I wouldn't mind seeing that either, but you would have to be careful.

Labeling a division a Super-Heavyweight, gives it a freak show kind of ring to it. So I think maybe just extending the heavyweight division to like 280 or something would be better.

I really dont know how to handle that, but I DO NOT want to see it get out of hand with divisions. Boxing is out of control with a new division every 3 pounds, that better never happen to MMA

There needs to be a Superheavyweight division, or Butterbean, Zulu, Mark Hunt Etc are gonna get snided out of competition.

i was just thinking that anyone weighing in between 265-285 can make the 265 weight limit.(like Tim Sylvia)

but yea....either works fine....

The only guy I am concerned about being left out of the heavys is Mark Hunt.

Zulu and Bean dont do it for me, so find a way to get Hunt in the mix and all will be well.
