Following Travis Browne's KO defeat to Antonio Silva, trainer Greg Jackson tweeted that Browne had blown out his knee on the first high kick of the fight. Well ... not quite. Browne went to the doctor today and he went to Twitter to clarify his injury. It's not a blown knee thankfully, but it's still a serious injury.

@travisbrowneMMA
And they said I tore my hamstring, ill be out for 2-4 months. Luckily no surgery. Thank you again for your support. Ill be back stronger!

Sucks to have a torn hamstring. I doubt he will need surgery.

But damn . I was kind of disappointed in the way he was throwing all of those flashy kicks. Looked "amateurish" to me

Silva looked serious as hell. Nice stance not really letting Travis intimidate him.

It looked to me like a fluke type injury.
Bigfoot with his physic 266lbs. Hapa was using those kicks as a decoy to keep Silva from just charging. IMO.
It sucks for the injury. Would have liked to know who would have won if the injury did not happen.

yeah i agree, silva wasn't buying into any of those fakes. To me i think browne looked nervous, can't wait to see him comeback then we will find out if he is the real deal.

I completely agree.

It sucks that he's going to be out for a while now but he needs to throw that part of his game out immediately. I like the idea of him using a front kick to the face but does he need to jump 3 feet in the air to do it?

Bigfoot really knows how to stare a guy down. I would have shit myself if Bigfoot was mean mugging me like that.

If I'm in the cage and someone is Sean Salmoning the air its giving me confidence not backing me off.

Torn Hammy sucks. Its a crap injury because its always seems to get agervated. Silva wanted the win, he looked good.

At least it's just the hammy, and not any of the CL's he tore.

I really wanted to see what Browne could do against Silva, I like Browne, but wanted to see how good he really was, he had a pretty easy UFC career fighting the smaller HW's and gatekeepers, besides Struve now, who has risen from the ranks.

i really like browne too, he moves really good for a HW. i think with a little better training and if that injury wouldnt have happened i think he could have got the "W" against bigfoot. he could have chopped bigfoots legs out from under him and kept him at a distance to pick him apart on the feet. hope to see him back stronger.

Bigfoot could have haymakered him during those chopping leg kicks too
