I was in shock a few weeks back when i heard of morrison come back to boxing after being tested hiv positive like ten years back. I cant help but wonder if he was set up there. after recent tests he is now found to be hiv negative. Even more shocking is that chuck was going to fight him? omg, what a slug fest that would be, one of boxings all time greats against one of the best strikers in mma. I can think of at least 15-20 boxers off the top of my head that rank above Morrison as being "greatest" boxers. (IMO)

i believe so, his boxing career got cut short and i feel he never got the true reconition he deserved

i can think in triple digits of boxers better than him, he was just another great white hope and is somewhere below cooney on my list

Greatest is a opinion. No matter who you say the greatest is in any sport there will always be someone who disagrees.

Looking at the wikipedia link, it looks like he was pretty good. 47 wins with 41 knockouts. Not too bad.

Tommy morrison was good, as far as one of the greats we never got to see the rest of his legacy. plus every fighter loses at one point like that, look at mike tyson, possibly the greatest ( i hate him though ), i'm in no way saying tommy morrison is the best or anything. thats something only time could tell, and he didnt get to finish.
