In an interview with the website IronLife.com, "The Huntington Beach Bad Boy" Tito Ortiz says he is going to re-sign with UFC.

I'm looking forward to Tito staying around, seems like Lorenzo Fertitta (co-owner of Zuffa, the parent company of UFC) was able to give him a good enough deal to keep him around.

I dont think Tito has much choice. Where else would he go? I really dont think Tito has much leverage considering the depth of the UFC roster, and the basic monopoly the UFC has on MMA right now. Him not beating a top opponent in years doesnt help either.

Good for him... he's never seemed to want to fight anywhere else and now with a new deal we can hopefully get some rematches with Forrest, Rashad, and Wandy going.

I would like to see Tito stay in the UFC, even if he is just a stepping stone. Make it that if you can get past Tito you can have a title shot.

If he went to any other org he would take his marketability with him, and they would turn him into a WWE type fighter.

I think tito is a good gate keeper for the UFC (though an over paid one), I would like to see him go to the WEC to help build it up, I don't know how the pay scale would look.

I would think elite xc would grab Tito at the first chance they could. He is still a Star of the sport that draws big crowds. He is the type of fighter they need. If they would get him Showtime subs would go up making them more money.

i think UFC owns WEC so i dont see him going there, if he is not getting payed in the UFC he is not going get payed in WEC

Don't like him but he makes the UFC money. He's good to throw in for guys like shogun to beat up and get their name engraved in UFC fans minds but thats pretty much it.

I really can't stand that guy, he does have a bad boy marketability so I can undestand why they keep him but he is a one trick pony to me. Stand up till he realizes he can't go toe to toe (if they are a top class fighter) squash them against the fence and rain down elbows. He doesn't submit people and he doesn't have good enough striking ability to knock people out standing up.

He is a tough well conditioned athlete but I believe he will be lost in a division like the light heavy weight. He's going to be one of those fighters who will be looking back at their sell by date saying to themselves (in an old man decreped voice) "I was the UFC light heavy weight champion back.... in the olden days".

Tito Ortiz will NEVER see gold in the UFC from here on in.

If he never has to face Liddell again he could possibly see the belt.

I hate Tito, but I have to disagree with both of you, I would hold your opinion until after Shogun gets past Forrest (IF he even does) all the top fighters from pride havent been doing so well in the UFC...I guess Jackson is doin alright but other than that its hard to say if Shogun can even beat Tito.

The UFC has their gatekeeper now. I see him fighting Lyoto, Wanderlei, and Shogun by the years end next year. Lets see if he's gonna step up and fight for a belt again, or just continue to be a one dimensional fighter whos gas tank seems to have abandonded him. We'll see how many decisions he has lef tin him.
