On the majority of the real world sportsbooks the odds seem to be around...
Evans +110
Ortiz - 105
would make this a lot more interesting bet on the playground. as it sets right now I see it as a silly bet on here.
Feel free to read
the second item here for a brief explanation, bearing in mind that this is a fantasy simulation.
Also, it is not uncommon for close matches to both be - odds
bookmaker.com (at the time I'm writing this) lists Tito and Rashad both at -115 and also lists the upcoming Gonzaga v Couture fight at -125, -105 respectively.
To make it more appealing the odds we use are slightly in the player's favor as well. In real world betting the underdog odds are numerically lower than the favorite odds, as that is how the house makes money (the house only makes money when the underdog wins in straight bets). To reward gutsy bettors here in this fantasy game, we've done the opposite. So yes, in a nutshell, the concept of a very simple house betting system is in place here, but it is tweaked for gaming purposes and for the purpose of making it so that everyone has the same odds available to them so as to create a completely level/equal-opportunity playing field
