Tim Sylvia officially has replaced fellow UFC vet Todd Duffee and now meets "The Ultimate Fighter 10" cast member Abe Wagner in the headliner of next month's Titan Fighting Championships 16 event. TFC 16 takes place Jan. 28 at Memorial Hall in Kansas City, Kan. It's the first Titan event slated for an HDNet broadcast. Duffee surrendered the spot after he stepped in as a late addition to Friday's DREAM "Dynamite!! 2010" event, where he meets Strikeforce heavyweight champion Alistair Overeem in a non-title bout. Since his embarrassing 9 second KO loss to Ray Mercer in 2009, Sylvia has won 4 straight.

Would have been crazy had Todd Duffee, had won his two bouts in January/December!

Duffee should have stayed on this card and Sylvia step up to face Overeem.

I think Timmy finds his way back to the UFC with a dominant performance. I would enjoy Timmy/Struve or Timmy/Nelson.

Yeah I don't know how I feel about Tim Sylvia back in the octagon. Now that Arlovski is out of the UFC and Couture is done at HW, you would think that opens the door a bit for The Maine-iac to have some success.

I would believe he could KO anyone from TUF 10, except Nelson, because apparently he has a lead jaw. I think Big Country would take Sylvia....

In fact, I wonder how much success Sylvia would have. He got the boot a couple years ago and the division has only gotten more competitive. I suppose it would be fun to let him have a go at it for old times sake.

Nobody said he was going to be regaining the belt, but he matches up well with the middle tier of the division.
