I'll be watching the Facebook fights so I'm fine with it. I'm very excited for the card though. JDS vs. Cain is the fight of the year.

This.

Plus I won't have to sit through all that talking crap fight breakdown about the fight with goldie and rogan for the facebook fights.

If I had to nitpick, I would've loved to see Guida v Bendo....oh well, not complaining

Not UFC's choice whatsoever. FOX is giving them this and their contract doesn't even start till 2012.
I think it'll be weird if it lasts half a round, I don't know what mainstream-new to MMA viewers will think about that as a first impression.
Other than that, I think its fine, like everyone else i'll be watching all the other fights on facebook anyways.

Yeah, no matter how juicy, that little fight time wont be great for a FOX show.

This is an excellent opportunity to promote the UFC, and Fox has promoted it hard. But regardless of how well the main event goes, what will people think watching the recaps for Guida-Henderson? Probably, "Why was Fox playing ten year old Family Guy episodes instead of this?

In fact, why isn't Fox putting on the whole card? If the main event is scheduled to finish before the Pacquiao fight, just put the Facebook stuff on Fox or FX or FUEL or all the FSN channels.

The fights are going to be on Facebook and Fox.com for free, likely with few/no commercials. There's not a lot of room to complain here man.

I don't think it's that big of a deal, I see this as a tryout for both sides on how well it will do. Put one huge fight on T.V. (a title fight at that) see how the ratings do, if it's a huge success, you can bet both sides are willing to put on a huge card next time around, UFC will make most their money back on sponsorship's for not having it on ppv.

Can't complain with the Facebook streams, seeing as how for the past few months the quality of the streams has been superb.

FB streams are LEGIT
I would almost rather watch the whole card on the internet! No commercials PLUS you can look at porno in between fights

I was thinking the exact same thing all along and would actually consider it a nightmare....or how bout an early stoppage after a quick big punch....lol...would totally make Dana crumble in his chair...kinda funny he is going to have to clean up his language and he will for Fox...

I hear ya Warglory, I personally am stoked for the fights, a completely free card with the heavyweight title on the line is awesome. And while myself and probably everyone posting here will get to see those fights, it's because we are familiar with the streams Zuffa does.

My post was written thinking about the average person who is just flipping through the channels who may not be a fan yet. I think they should try and get as many viewers as possible with this move.... Having more than one fight on network tv might help. Even though that one fight is a title fight, will the people "get it"? The folks might need a fight to cut their teeth on before they can appreciate a title fight.

Well with my bias I feel like it won't last long til dos santos lands that punch and gives us bendo vs guida to fill that last half hour

It was already said that even if Cain/JDS lasts 10 seconds, no other fights are being shown.

I will quote my friend

" I don't care if they show the prelims in chinese I will watch it""

Referring to the henderson vs guida fight shown of foxsport deportes
Which thank god I have.

Sucks but watching two prelims in spanish is better than none

Mute your TV and turn up computer, if there is no delay.

Especially if the bout lasts only a min certainly not good for the promotion. Hope it goes for 5 rounds

This.
I agree with every word.

It would be especially bad if the fight ended in like 30 seconds.
