I regularly stop by Best Buy on my way home from work since its on my drive home. One of my boys is a Manager so I just go in to shoot the shit and get the new movies that come out. Well I went in there today to see if they had the newest UFC because they come out the 1st tuesday of every month. One wasn't released this month so I looked around and bought the Transformers movie 3 pack and The Hurtlocker. So I go up to pay and I see their add with all their sales. The TV that I bought for $1,099.99 was on sale for $799.99. I said "FUCK". The girl that was ringing me up asked what the problem was. I told her I had bought the same TV from them less than a month earlier (50 inch Samsung LED 1080p HDTV) for $300 more than it was going for. She said that they price match for anything bought 30 days prior. So she looked it up on my rewards card and notice that I had bought it October 19th so I was within the 30 days. Of course I was excited so I went to customer service and not only did I get money back but for $10 more I was able to extend my service warranty 2 more years. So I walked out of the store $250 ahead and happy as fuck I looked at the ads. I love Best Buy and their price matching

That's awesome Proph. I just found out that some of the money I spent earlier in the year for my surgery to cover my insurance deductable, can be reimbursed from my health savings account, now that I have more money in it. I'll also walk away with a check for around $250

My wife pissed me off last Friday night. I was fuming. I needed to go somewhere and vent but at that late hour, all I could think of was to go play some poker. So I went to the local casino. I had 3 hundred on me. Two hours later, the 3 hundred is gone. I feel like shit. I used the casino's fee guzzling atm to withdraw 3 hundred more. Sat down and began to play again. I was on tilt and pretty much played 90% percent of my hands. Next thing I knew, I had to buy in again ...and again. Now I'm down to my last 100 chips.
The next hand was a kill pot ( which means the stakes are doubled ). I was dealt pocket aces. I raised before the FLOP and about 5 people called me. I bet the FLOP. I bet the TURN and I bet the RIVER. I turn over one pair, pocket aces. Some dude turns over 2 pairs. I am crushed.
I look at my chip stack and I'm thinking my wife is going to kill me when she finds out I blew away 6 hundred dollars in one night.
The dealer deals the next hand. I look at my cards and threw them away, got up, and went to pee. When I came out, the whole place was ecstatic. Apparently 2 guys hit the $100,000 jackpot. Losing hand receives 40,000 and winning hand receives 20,000 and 40,000 gets shared by all poker players.
I received $1,700 for just sitting in on the jackpot. And I should tell you, I almost sat out of the jackpot if I had taken too long and missed a hand.
I continued playing some more and won all my money back plus some more - so I made out $1,700 plus that night.

way to go guys On a lesser extent I found out I can opt out of a dental plan from my tuition at the beginning of the semester and would get a cheque sometime at the beginning of November. According to my tuition breakdown I was expecting $110 refund...when I got my cheque back, it was for $400 I guess it was from my previous semesters that I paid it but w/e I was $400 richer

In my own experiences, playing poker with a clouded mind (or gambling in general) is almost never a good thing. You are out of your element and playing most of your cards on tilt only spells disaster. I assume you were playing no limit Hold 'em, it sounds like you slow played your rockets or you didn't bet enough to get rid of a calling station or someone with a mediocre hand. If he hit the 2 pair on the flop then you were screwed no matter what and it's an unlucky break. If you were playing a fixed or pot limit game, then calling stations are much more prevalent and harder to get rid of.
A few years ago I lost something like $350 of my stack on one hand (bought in for $100 on $1/$2 blinds and built this up with a few fortunate hands). I was dealt pocket 7s, someone raised preflop to $25. Three others and I call. Flop was 733. One of the blinds bet $25, call, fold, I raise to $50, fold. Blind raises to $100, I reraise to $200, he goes all in. Of course I call assuming he has A3. I flip over my full house...buddy has pocket 3s. I went down to around my starting stack and was on tilt for the rest of the night. I was out of my element since that beat and pissed away all my money. Now it wasn't as bad as your potential loss but I was working like 15h/week at min wage at 19 years old (legal age up here) while in school, so it was kind of a big blow.

sucks that Best Buy is going under. Great policy especially when it comes to Black Friday considering that I believe their Black Friday ad is out already so you could just get the tv you see that will be on sale and buy it now to avoid the rush.

Not once but half a dozen times I had them screw my orders up. Send me emails to pick up my items when my items werent even there. Not even a sorry from them.
Now everytime they Fuck up my order i call customer service and bitch at them.
Hate to do it. But been years of this shit. Enough is enough I used to spend thousands a year there now
I do half business with them other half with target amazon among others.

I also found out I get reimbursed $1200 this year, and $2000 next year for health equipment. Bought myself some weights, resistance bands, and a gps/heart rate monitor watch.
