OK, obviously lightweight is full of exciting fighters looking for a belt shot, but did Stevenson show that he deserves to be right back in the picture, or did his performance against Tibau show that he needs a few more fights to get back to that level?

Granted, Stevenson's guillotine's are friggin' ridiculous, but this was hardly a one-sided "come back" fight. He had to work hard for that victory...

I think he needs at least 2, if not 3 more fights to get another title shot.

Stevenson vs. Tyson Griffin.... I think that sounds like a great damn fight. I'd like to see if Griffin can get his way out of that guillotine.

I would have to agree Gleison was winning that fight until that choke. I think Tyson Griffin or the loser of the Huerta-Florian fight would be good tests to see if he belongs right back up there in title contention.

i dont think Stevenson will be champ at LW anytime soon.
He just looks really small. or Tibau made him look really small, Penn easily out powered him and controlled him well.
But who knows, lately who knows what can happen in MMA

In all fairness, Tibau is probably the largest LW in the division, Melvin Guilard is his only competition in terms of size.

Those two should fight and the loser should GTFO.

I think Stevenson should get a couple more solid wins before being thrown back into the upper echelon. Im still not sure if he deserves to be there but im not completely writing him off yet.

Melvin looked really impressive against Siver. He bounced Siver's head off the mat like a basketball.

well he went alittle down after losing to bj, but then alittle up after the win against tibau. i mean he's still in the mix. 3rd or 4th guy in LW

stevenson and tyson should duke it out.

I agree with you completely, he needs another fight or two against bigger names before his next shot.

And I know that BJ is like the king around here but I don't care what you guy's say, I think that a prepared Stevenson could beat BJ the second time around.

I know he cried and got completely humiliated but I think with more fuel in the fire and couple months more than he had to train he could do it.

WAR JOE!

joes basically in the upper middle class of the UFC LWs. hes a tough guy, and is a good measuring stick, but titleholder in a stacked division? i think not. he is the guy to beat to get a #1 contender match IMO, no more no less.

I wanna see Joe against Tyson. They keep putting Griffin up against Ju Jitsu specialists. Lets see him fight another powerful wrestler and see how he does. I would have no idea who to pick in that one, prolly Joe on expierience.

if stevenson faces griffin he's in trouble as tyson griffin automatically wins his fights by unanimous decision

Stevenson/Griffin would be a helluva fight. Stevenson would finish him..

Joe Daddy's stock definately went up with that win. I think he'll be back within the title picture within a year.
