Spike TV officials today confirmed the full lineup for The Ultimate Fighter 13 Finale.
The event takes place Saturday at The Pearl at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, and the main card airs on Spike TV.
The lineup includes a handful of "TUF 13" fights that MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) first reported on Wednesday.
Headlining the show is the "TUF 13" championship between finalists Ramsey Nijem (4-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC) and Tony Ferguson (10-2 MMA, 0-0 UFC). Both fighters won three bouts to advance to the finale. Nijem was head coach Junior Dos' Santos fourth-round pick; Ferguson was Brock Lesnar's third pick.
The fighters they defeated in the semifinals, Chris Cope (4-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC) and Chuck O'Neil (8-3 MMA, 0-0 UFC), also meet each other in a main-card bout.
The biggest non-"TUF" fight on the televised card is former WEC champ Anthony Pettis (13-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC) vs. fellow UFC lightweight contender Clay Guida (28-11 MMA, 8-5 UFC). The winner of the bout, which is one of the summer's featured MMA attractions, will take a big step toward a title shot.
Surprisingly, some big names – including Jeremy Stephen, Josh Grispi and Scott Jorgensen – have been relegated to the event's preliminary card. However, UFC officials haven't announced if some (or all) of those fights will be part of free Facebook stream on event night.
