UFC events and The Ultimate Fighter were the premier programming on Spike TV for a number of years. Now, with the UFC leaving the network for a number of reasons (better exposure at Fox and too expensive for Spike) the network is looking to strengthen it's programming schedule. They've already inked a deal to carry Bellator Fighting Championships programming in 2013 and now they are turning to boxing promoter Bob Arum and Top Rank Inc. according to RingTV

So basically, they will have fighters names that we can hardly pronounce with no relevance? Ahh, bring back Bar Rescue!

They need to do something. Otherwise, "Watching Spike TV" is going to be come the 1001st Way to Die.

Spike Programming = garbage

Completely agree. Without the UFC Spike is essentially a bunch of shows that will never last more then a couple of seasons.

the only reasons i watched spike was UFC and a few classic movies they show from time to time. but watching movies on regular TV is dumb with all the commercials. ill probably forget about the network until bellator starts in 2013

That's sweet if they do it right.

Boxing is horrible at building a name up, they need more Friday Night Fights type shows, and not schedule so many squash matches for showcase fighters.
