The Ultimate Fighting Championship might make its first-ever trip to Nebraska.
Multiple sources close to the event, including fighters tentatively booked for the show and officials close to the venue, tell MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) that the UFC has begun preparations to host the Sept. 17's UFC Fight Night 14 event at the Omaha Civic Auditorium in Omaha.

Problem with New Orleans is that's football season. Between the Saints and LSU (I know, that's Baton Rouge), who's gonna attend?
When I heard about Omaha, my first thought was Hughes-Serra, although that might be too soon with Hughes fighting Alves Saturday. But might get a good pro-Hughes crowd there, and they could maybe even have the signature Hughes country breakfast at the press conference.
