I just ordered a rash guard on ebay for $27, the only problem is that I got an injury today, so I guess I'll have to wait awhile till I get to use it.

My bro bought a small computer off of Ebay and everything was fine... later he tried to sell an online game account and had his auction closed, so now he's banned from ebay.

A friend of mine got his account banned because he sold a US playstation console (not a modded one) in the same auction as a Japanese playstation game. Yet, there are tons and tons of bootlegged DVDs, games, etc list on there all the time.

eBay bends its rules for the sellers that make them money and burns the little man.

I've bought and sold many things on eBay over the last 10+ years. I have had a few problems here and there, but most of them got resolved.

IMO, eBay is not a great place for selling unless you have a hot item (like a PS3 when they sold out). Their listing and auction fees are just too high to make any decent money. This is why you commonly see items listed cheap with high shipping costs. Coupled with the fact that eBay owns paypal, you get zinged again for using paypal.

However, as a buyer you can get a lot of good deals if you are patient.

I got a Like brand new black Nintendo DS Lite for $100 with free shipping about 2 weeks after the black model came out.

there are many tricks you can use to get a great deal from people, just like i used on buying this DS..

he had it at a "Buy it now" price of $99.99 with $15 shipping, and he had the Auction start price at $50,and there were 7 days left for the auction to end...........so what i did was bid the $50 so that the "Buy it now" option would end and the seller has no choice but to wait the whole 7 days and see who wins....But what i do is email the seller about 2 hours after i bid and ask them that if i give him $100 flat "RIGHT NOW" would he offer me free shipping......

most of the times they will rather accept the offer and get their money ASAP than wait 7 day for the auction to end. and if this trick dont work, well give up and let someone outbid your $50 eventually.

Damn im a cheap bastard

that's a good technique. How many times have you had it work?

In my experience though, that is not the greatest auction set-up anyways. I think 9 times out of ten a 50$ starting bid and a 100$ BIN, will go to bidding, unless the BIN is really cheap.
