I'd like to see Struve avenge his loss and step in here but I could also see him getting knocked out brutally again. Lavar Johnson may be good too as he has a fight in December and would proably provide a fun fight even if he doesn get pounded out on the mat by Nelson.

Not surprised at all. Carwin's body seems pretty shot. Then again I'd be shot too if I took the kind of beating he took against JDS. And if I stopped using steroids. (Not saying that's the case for Carwin....

the UFC knew he hurt his knee forever ago, so there is no excuse for them to not have someone on stand-by waiting for this fight. shit, even i knew the fight wasn't likely to happen when Carwin mentioned the injury over a month ago.

I was told that he WILL be back...surgery isn't needed, just rest. He's shooting for a February return.

I was worried he would be forced into retirement as well. He's very likable but just cannot seem to keep himself into contention.
