yes, read he had to have surgery (on his back i believe) so will be fighting late spring/early summer again

I think Sherk will dominate that fight, although I do like Franca alot.

sherk was very competitive against GSP and hughes, im not sure francas striking is as big a threat as everyone would believe...not to mention the elbows he ate against florian and kept coming.

I'd also give it to Sherk. I just think Franca is still a little to sloppy with his striking (no disrespect intended) and Sherk can take a lot of damage which he showed against Florian.

i think champs who dont defend their belt over a certain amout of time should loose the belt

Good point 101. They should have a 6 month defend rule, that also allows some interesting shakeups to stale divisions.
