Despite not participating in the inaugural March 5th event coming up for World Victory Road, it appears that Roger Gracie will be signing a contract to appear in the second WVR event, scheduled for May or June of this year.

This contract will signal Gracie’s return to MMA after a layoff of over 1 year – he made his debut in December of 2006 in Vancouver, Canada for bodogFIGHT, easily defeating veteran MMA artist Ron Waterman by arm bar in Round 1. Since then, Gracie has continued his grappling dominance in 2007, winning the ADCC 2007 superfight against Jon Olav Einmo of Norway, and winning both his weight class and the open class in the Black Belt division of the BJJ World Championships...

Gracie vs. Yoshida?

that's what it was supposed to be last time and i would love to see it. classic judo vs BJJ. great grappling would be showcased although i would pick Gracie by sub. i am sure that if Barnett could get a sub so can Gracie but Yoshida is a freat judoka so who knows.

Man I would live to see him fight some more. Lot of people say he is truly the best Gracie yet.

right now he is the reigning ADCC Openweight Champion which pretty much means he is the best grappler imo. hopefully he can translate that skill into MMA. one of my favorite fighters because of my love for JJ and i really want to keep an eye on him. i hope the next WVR card is actually broadcasted with him on it so he gets some exposure.

they Guy has got some skills and alot of potential, but i hope he takes MMA seriously and takes the time to become well rounded, unlike every other Gracie that tought their BJJ was all they need it.
