Rich Franklin feels like he's 'last of the Mohicans' in UFC, wants another shot at Anderson Silva

In a sport that had grown so much in really only a few years, Rich Franklin will add yet another first to his career when he headlines the first UFC show in China on Saturday.

Franklin (29-6), headlined the first live television event in the United States, and also headlined the company's first shows in places like Ireland, Northern Ireland, Germany and Western Canada. He faces the sport's most unorthodox stand-up specialist, Cung Le (8-2), in the main event at the Cotai Arena at the Venetian Resort in Macau.

That would be one of the most unlikely happenings in UFC history. I'm down, lets get this bitch rolling!

Edit: also if Weidman becomes champ we could see Shields Weidman in one of the most tehnical displays in MMA

I AM Poor Franklin!

I like franklin I really do but he isn't going to beat anderson UNLESS he atleast tries something else. Him thinking he can outstrike Anderson is a pipe dream. It's not happening. Personally if I were him I would get the best wrestler and bjj practitioner I could find and try and hang with them on the ground for as long as possible to build up the stamina needed to execute a strategy with wrestling as the base. At the same time use the wrestler to get the best at possible at setting up shots.


We'll see what happens

The first two fights where anderson putt a full plumb on, yeah.

I also saw Yushin lay on him in the clinch doing virtually nothing. Even Bonnar layed on him. I suppose I should have said double underhooks or fence clinching, but I thought wall and stall was good enough.

Weidman is the perfect style match for Franklin.
