The UFC is downsizing their roster significantly, and 4 losers from UFC 157 were given the pink slip. Josh Neer, Caros Fodor, Jon Manley, and Brock Jardine were all sent packing (per MMA Opinion), and their profiles no longer appear on the UFC's website.

Neer (33-13-1) has now been cut 4 different times by the promotion. His latest release came after a 3 fight losing streak, completed with a decision defeat to Court McGee. it'd be hard to fathom the UFC brass bringing Josh back for a 5th time.

He looked really uninspired when he fought Stout but so did GSP when he fought Diaz and Shields and Hardy and Kos and Condit... Gotta give it to GSP. The dude wins a lot of fights without ever looking like he really wants to win a fight.

It's funny how these cuts haven't been upsetting me as much as they use to. Just makes me excited to see which of the other organizations picks them up. Hope Bellator grabs Fordor.

Looks like UFC doesnt want to give second chance to Strikeforce fighters.

Fodor got hosed. I doubt any of these guys will be out of work for very long.

know what really annoys me with a UFC roster cut? When a guy is forced on to a main card of a 50-60 dollar PPV event and then released a few weeks later.

It's like they're trying to brainwash you into thinking Neer is this world class fighter who you have to pay money to see.....then they contradict themselves by then turning around and saying he isn't even in the top 60 guys in his weight class (presuming anyone still on the roster is being portrayed as "better" than the guys they cut).

If he's not even good enough to be on a 400 man UFC roster then why the hell was he on a PPV main event in the first place?

Neer/Court was a solid fight. Thought it might be enough for Neer to keep his job for one more fight, but I guess not. Doubt he ever fights in the UFC again, but you never know.

Just turned 30 a week ago, he has time to change around his style to not try and prove how many punches he can take and instead use his fighting experiences in an offensive way as he used to. I don't want to see him fight if he wants to be a human pinata and let his opponent dictate every second of the fights while he throws away technique to wing and take bombs, we know you're tough Josh, what you need to be proving is that you can get back in the win column, not absorb the kitchen sink. The day a Josh Neer doesn't have fighting left in him is the day the world explodes.

Neer's reflexes are already showing signs of erosion. He's been fighting a lot for over a decade. Chronological age and fighting age are often two very different things.

BBFOAT (Best Bar Fighter Of All Time).

Fodor doesn't make sense though. Other than the champ, Mighty Mouse, he was the only other full-timer under Hume, as far as I remember right now.
