UFC Hall of Famer, Randy Couture talked about wanting British boxing superstar, Ricky Hatton to make the jump to MMA. If interested, Randy says he's willing to help the former boxing world champion with the transition:

"I am a big fan of Ricky Hatton. He is a fantastic fighter. I could get him up to speed on the ground wrestling part of it, while he could take advantage of his boxing talent."

Why would Hatton want to do that?

So he can go from making millions to thousands!

Hell, When you got that amount of cash, If you wanted to you could do it for free!

Hatton is way too old anyways!

I think Hatton would fit into MMA pretty well if he could develop some TD defense (doubtful)

His boxing style has taken him as far as he's going to go in boxing IMO.

Hatton is a stone cold killer and his style and mindset is naturaly made for MMA. I would kill who ever it toook to get Hatton into MMA. especially under Couture. Who better than to teach rickyy to wrestle and graple?

Because Hatton is never going to become a boxing champ anyway, might as well try to develop into a world champion MMA fighter.

He was already the champion. I'm talking the REAL champion too. Not just some crap belt. He beat down Tszyu for it and then Castillo for another major belt, but Tszyu was basically the linear champ.

If Hatton wanted too im all for it. For alot of boxers, their careers dwindle as they age to early/mid thirties. While MMA fighters have an easier time maintaining throughout the years.

But the work that it would take during the transition from being a champion boxer to a successful MMArtist is probably a little to much.

Ricky Fatton is an MMA middleweight right now and I doubt MMA is enough to get him up for training camp.

First he was a champ and second If he couldn't become a champ using one skill set (boxing) Why at 31 would he be able to develope into a MMA champ?

I would like to see him give it a go.

I don't think he would set the world alight, but i'm a big Hatton fan and would love to see him prove more doubters wrong.

I think he could do well but learning good TDD at his age is doubtful.
