Rampage blasts UFC, doesn't respect Teixiera

On todays Press Conference Call Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson blasted the UFC for there unfair treatment and lack of respect for fighters. Rampage was asked why he was leaving the UFC. When asked his primary reason for leaving the UFC he started off by saying he didn't want to go into it and then said the following:

Not respecting Glover is going to get Quinton hurt real bad in my opinion. The only way Rampage doesnt get destroyed is if he trained his ass off and I doubt he did. Only time will tell

this has only made me want to see glover KO rampage more. besides the interview, i am tired of getting excited for a rampage fight and then he shows up and puts on a half ass performance.

Agreed. Quinton constantly complains about the UFC, yet I saw an article of the top paid UFC fighters and Quinton ranks 4th. The UFC has made this guy a millionaire ($3,240,000 in his UFC career), but you'd think by his words he's getting crumbs. I think the UFC has more than taken care of him.

I don't get this attack at all, the dude is obviously rich and gets a ton of hype from reporters and respect from fans. Then there is the anti wrestling thing, like after all these years and the slampage he has forgotten that this is MMA and not a street fight /signed slugfest. There is too much tiding on this fight for Glover to be dumb and ignore things like game planning and exposing his enemies weakness. If this was the case then why didn't he ignore his fists and get into a bjj match back in the Pride days. Simple answer is because he wanted to win. His opponents do too.

Where is the love for Rampage?

Ah well. Rampage IMO has a good chance at winning this. I think people forget how good he actually is. The only deciding factor is IF Rampage takes this fight serious or not. We will see come weigh ins. Hopefully he doesnt starve himself again, and gets some zzzz's.

I assume it's because he has been there and done that and knows he won't be a champion anymore. He has made his millions and his contract is over and doesn't want to be there anymore. Maybe other fighters are thinking this (especially those making $10,000 to show like Rampage referred to) but are afraid to speak up as they would most likely be fired within 30 minutes of the interview.

Rampage has a platform to stand on and he is using it for as long as he can. All the champions and top level guys are getting paid handsomely so they have no reason to complain (and are in the primes of their careers). The low level guys don't want to lose their job for saying something like this (ie Todd Duffee).

I'm not saying I agree with him, but I can see where he is coming from. If there was a fighters union, I'd bet more people would speak up

Wow. Im sick of the Rampage show. Have wanted to see a good form Page in a long time. He showed up for the Jones fight but was all sorts of gun shy for that fight. I like Page but hes done. Probably will still root for him because id like to see him go out with a win.
