I did not want to offend the UFC in any way. What I meant is, I don't like to watch fights in general. My main concern is what kind of culture I bring, myself.

...

It has always been for me that some fighters would appear and people would want to see me in matches against these fighters. That will always happen. As for the UFC, when my contract with Strikeforce is over - I have two fights left on my contract - the UFC will have the time and the opportunity to prepare and offer a contract that may be interesting to me.

and the carrot is dangled in front of the fans faces yet again...

im not sure if im an optimist or an idiot for holding out a little shred of hope that fedor might actually fight in the ufc someday, but theres always going to be a little part of me that still believes it can happen.

I don't care. All I want is the satisfaction of cocky redneck Lesnar hammering his face to unconsciousness from gnp. Which is likely to happen, but never will.

Quit flirting and get it over with if that's what you really want.

It irks you because old past his prime Fedor thinks he's Manny Pacquiou or Anderson Silva when even those two would never be divas on that level. Yes, not even Anderson.

Just what if he, beats Fabricio Wedrum, Just what if he then fights Overeem and somehow beats him too

Where the hell would he stand in the UFC, i heard rumours of an immediate title fight, but really? With Velasquez next on the Horizon, and the winner of JDS Nelson going seemingly nowhere, won't it just mess up the division?

You honestly don't thinkOvereem is at least as big of a threat as anything the UFC has? Man you have a big UFC kool-aid jug.

It will happen only a matter of time. Although I dont see Fedor signing with the UFC if he loses to either Werdum or Overeem, but you never know seeing him fight in the UFC would still be a huge crowd draw.

If he beats Werdum and Overeem then he beat two legitimate but not elite guys.

He has to beat Brock, Carwin, or at least Mir, JDS would probably run through Rogers and would probably beat Overeem, and JDS isn't even the guy fighting for the title in the UFC. I mean, hell I forgot about Cain, he's just another guy above and beyond the talent of anything Strikeforce has to offer.

So who cares, Fedor is scared of fighting the elite past his prime if there aren't financial guarrentees for his retirement.

He was a bigger threat a year or so ago when he was actually using more than standup. Im sorry but brock, cain, shane, mir, and probably JDS would all beat him, so if he's not even top 3, assuming I'm wrong with my list, than fedor's still fighting a guy who isn't on that elite tier.

How is Alistair not an Elite heavyweight? I cant even begin to fathom your rationale.

Overeem might not be the most consistent fighter in the world, but he's on par with the UFC elite on his better days. Lesner's highest caliber win was Mir who had already beaten him once, I don't even want to hear Couture mentioned, Couture is a great warrior but he's 50 f@ckin' years old and spooning hard on a Viagra kick now days. Heath Herring has always been a tough guy, but never champion material. Why does everybody think Fedor needs to prove something ? Different era's.

I'm going to post this one time and one time only even though it's already been posted 5000 times prior to this.

Accusing a fighter of being "scared" is fighter bashing (and quite laughable). In other words, it's not tolerated. Bans will be handed the next time I read such a ridiculous post.

The argument remains the same this whole time. Questioning Fedor's opponents and his records leitimacy. Recognizing the new outstanding HW div as bunch of tough opponents who rank highly in the world standings and could present difficult challenges for Fedor. Attempting to determine who is at "fault" for this M-1, Fedor, Dana, Fertitas, Zuffa.....GOD even?! I am sure to read this thread again tomorrow.....and to see nearly all the same recycled comments. I want to say that I've come to peace with the issue, but I really haven't. As it stands now if your not wanting Fedor in the UFC before he gets too worn out to fight anymore then your not my idea of a fan. If you do want it, then your living off of a pipe dream. It's a no win situation and the fans suffer!

This is an interesting situation. And I have to say that Cain is a budding star. but If Fedor is still ....kinda undefeated after his run in SF. So what if the UFC has to put up an imeadiate title shot, so be it!!!! Also What if he beats Werdum(which i think is a no brainer), but Alistair KOs him?? I know it has never happened. But Rogers definatly rocked him, and AO is a much more disiplined striker and would defend himself better. Then what, can his demands be as outrageous as the once were!!?? Time will tell. I have been waiting about 6-7 yrs for Fedor to come to the UFC. Whats another year or so??

I feel like I am a puppy and Fedor is my master holding a treat. Every time he holds the treat out and I come forward to grab it he kicks me square in the teeth. I keep walking forward and he keeps kicking me.... soon I'll either stop coming for the treat or all my teeth are gonna be gone.
