You can’t just look at one fight from a guy and say, “I’m going to bank on him not showing up in shape.” You just can’t do that … In that Shogun fight, (Mark Coleman) got tired — so did Shogun — and I think he’ll work on that. He’ll try to fix that for this fight … You’ve got to prepare like he’s going to be in the best shape of his life. He’s fought in Pride in 10-minute rounds and been in shape before, so I’d be an idiot to just bank on him not going to show up in good shape.

The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) season one light heavyweight finalist Stephan Bonnar tells USA Today that he won’t make the mental mistakes he made during his lopsided unanimous decision loss to undefeated up-and-comer Jon Jones at UFC 94: “St. Pierre vs. Penn 2? last January. “The American Psycho” will attempt to put aging UFC veteran Mark Coleman into retirement at UFC 100 from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, on July 11. The question is, where does a win over “The Hammer” put Bonnar in a crowded UFC light heavyweight division?

I am amazed Coleman is still fighting, let alone in the UFC. I think Bonnar is the better fighter of the two, and most likely wins this fight.

Hard fight to call. On the fact that Coleman is old and bonnar didnt look good at all in his last fight. Wrestlers have been known to give bonnar problems, which is why Im prolly going to go with coleman by decision.

I'm a Bonnar proponent from way back, but im worried he's lost that bounce, he's looked flat since those knee injuries. Then again, Coleman wrote the book on bad knees. I think Bonnar can polish him off w/ strikes in the 3rd, maybe a spinning back kick to the body!

I think Coleman has a better chance to win than most are giving him, but I still expect a sub win for Bonnar after the midway point of the fight.

I've been a big fan of Bonnar since TUF 1. I think he's got the better striking and cardio, and has a very legitimate jiu jitsu game, and just can't see Coleman getting past him.
