So I live in Arizona.. UFC airs here 8:00 pm during PPVs.. which would make it 10:00 PM EST and 7:00 PM PST.. 10 PM seems like a real late time to watch UFC events..

So does that mean I don't get live UFC events or is it a taped delay?
I know that Fight Nights aren't live, but does that mean that PPVS arent either?

this question has had me curious for the past PPVs....

So if anyone can answer this.. PLEASE it would mean a lot.

apparently nothing is "really live" Since the Janet Jackson boob incident. Eveything now has at least 10 second time delay.

But i am pretty sure that the UFC events are as close to live as possible. The PPVs at least i am sure arent taped. If they were wouldnt there be spoilers posted b4 the play by plays?

You are watching it live dude. This question doesn't really make sense to me I guess. Don't you know how time zones work or what?

Think yourselves lucky guys. On the east coast of England (and every other coast here, we ain't that big lol), PPV's are on the day after, albeit for free and we don't get ANY fight nights or Inside the UFCs.

That said, I still think we do OK, it just means avoiding any forums or websites for one day a month.

What's gonna be weird is when UFC 70 is broadcast from England... the time zone will make it 2pm Eastern Time here. I usually go to the bar to watch it. I'm gonna feel like an alcoholic being at the bar so early in the day.

I wander how they're going to handle that situation?

I live near Boston. They definitely start @ 10 here. I agree it's a little late and would rather see it start at 9, but always figured it's to accomodate those of you who would get it really early in the evening.

And does anybody know how they're handling the UK PPV time issue? Is it relly gonna be in the afternoon for us?

I'd think 7 would seem way too early. And it ends at 10 then. Course I guess it's what you're used to. I'd prefer them like 9-12 (or 9-1 if they ever go 4 hours) it makes the whole point of the night the fights. If they ended that early I could go out to the bar after.

11:30 is a bit late, but I find that I'm used to it by now
Usually the night of the event we just go to a friends' house and drink a few beer while watching preshow stuff on the fight network. Then at 11:30 we're buzzing enough to be into the fights, then when they're over, so is the night and you can lie in bed wide awake still hopped up on the excitement from the night.

Watching the ppv at home or a friends provides me with two solutions.
1) I stayin that night and spend only ~$25 (20 for beer, 5 for my share of the event), instead of spending yet another night out at the bar and spending $100 or more

2) I, like most of you, am a mma snob. I can't handle being out at a bar watching it when people who don't have the slightest idea what they're talking about decide their opinion is valid...eg... "no one can beat tim sylvia hes too good!!!11!11" or "TUFFighterX can beat anyone!!"

I could care less about the time. Even if it came on at 2 or 3 am, I'd stay up to watch. I might would take a nap before, but I would not miss it!

EST'r here. 10 PM is just about perfect. 9 would be better. 7 would be way too early.

I would hate to live in the west coast. NFL at 9:30-10:00 AM? Nascar at 10 AM? Baseball games at 4 PM? That would be very strange to me.
