pretty cool stuff, so here it is->

I was fortunate to help create the first ad campaign for the UFC. Now for those of you who live under a rock or refuse to watch TV, the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) is extreme mixed martial arts. The sport has grown so large that it now eclipses all major sports. This campaign helmed by Publicis, aims to tell everyone just that. We shot for two days and nights to create these images, we had an awesome makeup artist and stylist and a group of great guys who stood for what seemed like hours while we poured over the details. This was a great shoot and thanks to all who brought this together. You can find the whole campaign in the new work section of the site.

I'm fairly certain this is targeted to the US, so I'm not sure that the NHL in Canada is relevant. I would say that the NFL is the only major pro sport left to conquer...but the picture could very well represent college football.

Edit: I wouldn't put too much stock in the quote, since it's obvious that they are more involved on an artistic level than as a fan.

Wow those are beyond terrible. Is there really still a need to compare ufc or mma to other sports to try to give it credibility at this point? Just screams inferiority complex to me.

I dont understand why this was created. Not a good image for the sport in my opinion.

I'm a huge UFC fan, but if they were really better than all of the other sports, then they wouldn't need to say it. This is one of the worst ad campaigns that I've ever seen.

I would assume this comparison is being made to other sports in order to show places like NY and Ontario that MMA would be a worthy investment.

The UFC is really pushing to expand.
