Alright so the GSP/Fitch fight is close and just a couple of weeks away.Being the big GSP fan that I amI think that Rush is going to run through Fitch.I understand that Fitch has an impressive streak as of right now but i still do not think that he is the biggest threat to St. Pierre.I've seen maybe four of Fitchs fights and not that impressed to waste my time doing research on the guy.I would really like to hear what the Jon Fitch fans think about this and explain how he even has the slightest bit of chance to be victorious in this fight...

The thing about Fitch is that he's well rounded just like GSP only not as skilled. They're both very well rounded, but if you were to break it into sections it would look like this-
Out of 10...
GSP's Wrestling- 9
GSP's Striking- 9
GSP's BJJ- 9
GSP's Strength- 9
GSP's Cardio- 9
Out of 10...
Fitch's Wrestling- 9
Fitch's Striking- 6

well GSP has some of the greatest wrestling, more technical striking and more solid jits. Oh man dont let me forget to mention that he has about thee best takedown defense.(koscheck and hughes fight)

I've said this before, Fitch is just GSP lite. A watered down version of the real thing.

Im hoping too see a new vicious "this is my belt, destroy me if you want it" GSP, The Dominant GSP we saw in the Trigg fight.
If not, I think this will be a back and forth almost boring, against the fence defensive fight, with GSP snagging a submission in the 3rd.
I hope it makes the 3rd anyway, Ill win from my friend $50 if it does, $75 if its a decision lol

Fitchs BJJ a freaking 6???? Your insane! Obviously you haven't seen any of Fitchs fight's if you believe that. His striking is also around a 8. As for GSP's striking I would not call it a 9. More around a 7. Heck Matt Serra outstruck him. That's why he had to take him to the ground and beat him the second time.

I knew I'd get shit for the numbers. I almost deleted the post right after I wrote it.
Basically I kept them the way they are because I was trying to use them in comparison to GSP's. So GSP's BJJ is almost fully developed (9) and compared to GSP's BJJ Fitch's is at a 6.
Trust me I'm in agreement with you that Fitch has very underrated BJJ. I was just trying to illustrate for the OP. Anyway, thanks for tripping out like I stabbed your grandma.. haha it was good for a laugh

Props on that statement. I hope we see a hard and focused GSP, not another first title defense letdown. I would like to see GSP destroy Fitch and the rest of the division like Anderson is doing at middleweight. Then we could see the ultimate catch weight war. I can see it now RUSH Vs. THE SPIDER gives me goosebumps just thinking about it.
