cung le is an awesome K-1 fighter taylor made for MMA due to his AWESOME takedowns, should be fun to have him in pride

didn't realize i got a little awesome heavy there, regardless, when I first saw that the other day I wasn't sure if I believed it but he hasn't denied on his site so W00T, big time pickup

Its gonna be awesome. In 3 MMA fights last year, he won them all in the 1st rd by KO or TKO.

also it is rumored that Fedor may fight Rulon Gardener on this card, just a rumor so far though, but it doesn't make sense to leave the HW champ off

If thats true then Rulon Gardener will to get in shape if he wants any chance of beating fedor as if there is one.

I think Pride does themselves , their fighters,and all us fans a huge disservice by not announcing the matchups early. I don't see how they can promote well. The last Pride card I didn't know until a week before if I was gonna get the PPV. I usually have between 12 and 20 people over to my house for the PPV's and a lot of people are too busy to make late plans. They could learn a lesson from the UFC here. Whether or not Pride has more depth of talent. Their fight promoting is sloppy. What a shame.

I'm really looking forward to Gomi vs Diaz. I doubt Diaz will win, but he's got a solid chin and ain't afraid of anyone... and Gomi, well, he's Gomi!!

This a HUGELY fanytastical good sign for Pride. They released the fights a month in advance, which gives time for buzz to generate and plans to be made. I think this could be a sign Prides not going under. Some pretty good fights too.

That's true, but that's just a misconception they have of American fans. They learned to release the card early. If they get rid of the non-title matches it will be all good.

Morbid curiosity?

The only good thing I see coming out of that fight is maybe Rogerio has some bizarre submission you can only use on people who are totally overmatched, like that combination omaplata ankle lock Mir used on Tank.

Gomi = top 5
Shogun = top 5
Misaki = top 5
Silva = top 5
Sergei = top 10
Alastair = top 10
Sakurai = top 10
Nakamura = top 10
( Hendo isn't top 10 LHW so I don't include him )

8 top 10 fighters on one card and it's still not complete!

Pretty stellar even if matchups aren't the most intriguing.
