A long-rumored UFC event in the Brazilian city of Sao Paulo is a reality.
UFC president Dana White told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) on Friday the promotion is currently searching for venues to host the event, which is targeted for an as-yet-undetermined date in June.
"It looks like it's probably going to be a stadium show," he said.
Weather considerations may play a big part in the timing of the event. With Brazil's seasons the exact opposite of those in the U.S., a June show falls between autumn and winter in the country.
"We're just going to make sure it doesn't rain," White joked. "I hate doing outside [expletive]. I don't like doing outside weigh-ins, let alone outside fights."
