Hope everything turns out well for Quinton.

That being said, since when in Cali is a 16 1/2 week old FETUS considered a child? Gotta love the Libs wanting it both ways. Flame away.

What on earth are you on about? The writing of one journalist does not represent the entire state of california. Plus, how would you have written it, "a soon to be child"? Or just straight up fetus?

Well said jay.

Also, was there any need to bring politics into this roadking?! Seriously, it seems like in a lot of posts you always inject your own right-wing beliefs and bring up something about liberals being stupid or blah blah blah..... We understand you don't like 'libs', no need to take shots at liberals constantly. Everyone has different beliefs/opinions...

I am finding it hard to believe some of the posts I am reading here like

"He is going through a tough time. And has nobody really to help him out, so this is his way of dealing with it"

and

"He means well"

WTF!!! You are talking as if you know him personaly

He put others at huge risk. I hope he pays the price like any one of us would have to.

Shame on him

So, basically...you're saying this:

"You don't know the guy. But, I know the situation, so therefore, I'm right and you're wrong.

Please, give us some insight on what happened and why it happened.

Please, give us some insight on what happened and why it happened.

Are you serious?

It is obvious what I was saying and to be honest I don't know if I should even be bothering to reply to your pathetic attempt to translate it. But I will anyway

I didn't say I know the whole situation but I do know one FACT.

I said:
"He put others at huge risk. I hope he pays the price like any one of us would have to"

The FACT is that he drove his pickup like a madman in a public place trying to avoid arrest.

There is nothing wrong with that statement. There is plenty wrong with the statements I criticised as they could only be made by Quinton's closest friends or his shrink. You would have to be inside his head to know that "he means well" or "he has nobody to help him out"

Is that clear enough for you

Everyone is saying I'm not gonna judge him and give the guy a break. Let's put it like this. If Kimbo Slice did that, everybody on here would be like," Oh, off with his head, and he should be in jail and bla bla bla." But since it's Rampage we're like'" poor guy. He needs help." If you do something like that, you need to face the consequences, ex-champion or not.

I'm not defending the guy. I'm just saying WAIT UNTIL THE FACTS COME OUT. If this is a mental thing, there's a good chance he DID NOT KNOW what he was doing. Why is that so hard for people to comprehend?

I Absolutely agree. Go to another site to discuss politics, or go to the non MMA sections of the site. Plus, this story has nothing to do with politics in the first place! WTF?

45 mph isn't exactly a "high speed" chase unless you're 90 years old.

As for you saying you'll never do this and you'll never do that...blow a fuse upstairs and you'll have no idea you're even doing it.

His way of dealing with it is by performing a hit and run.

Speaking of stupid posts...

45mph is fast dependant on where it takes place.

45mph in a heavily built-up area, with virtually no room to move out the way etc - is a high speed for that area. 45mph on a pavement/sidewalk is fast - isn't it?

You've repeated in this thread several times about others jumping to conclusions and speculating, yet you've done a fair amount of it in your own posts.

You're assuming he 'blew a fuse' for example.

It doesn't matter if he knew what he was doing or not being able to claim insanity is the stupidest idea in American law. If he can do it once he can do it again whether he's insane or not so face the consequences. If it turns it out somehow he didn't do all that they said then he gets whatever minor punishment. If he did do all that was said then he gets jail time and THEN mental help if he needs it, still need the consequences. Claiming mental problems is just an easy way to get out of the real punishment 90% of the time it's a load of crap. And even if it is real, it's no excuse still do the time before or after getting some help.

I've also said NUMEROUS times that I'm not defending him. If he knowingly did what he did, throw the f'ing book at him. But if it's a mental issue and he had no idea he was even doing it, that's a different story.

A lot of people here have taken the same stance ever since they first read the headline about him being arrested. They refuse to believe anything other than the fact that he's a dangerous criminal who deserves to be locked up. I've said all along that it's possible that he IS a dangerous criminal, but the signs are there for this to be a mental health issue.

Do you think police would take him to a mental hospital if it wasn't?

I'm assuming he "blew a fuse" because HE WAS TAKEN TO A FRICKIN MENTAL HOSPITAL. That's NOT routine protocol for a criminal.

He was taken to the hospital the day after the event if I'm not mistaken. If they believed he was in said condition at his initial arrest, then why wasn't he moved to such an establishment then. We therefore don't know if he had any mental health issues at the initial arrest, that being the topic under discussion.

I understand to a point what the other poster was saying about mental health issues being used as a convenient excuse, but as has been discussed, we don't know to what extent he has been evaluated as such.

One could suggest that if he had a mental health issue it is depression post his recent fight loss. Many people suffer from depression, yet there aren't a host of clinically depressed individuals driving a huge pick up truck at speed in built-up areas on the sidewalk.

However, all that said and done, this is all supposition, and we can't discard any possibility at this time.

As my post record shows I am not afraid to bring up politics..... But that was definatly done in bad taste and with out thinking

The point should be that this lady is probally looking for a payout..... She was in and he was in pretty new trucks/suv a side swipe at 45 IMO is not a life threatening thing....

As for the unborn child the first thing that would have happened in over hyper sensitive California is she would have been rushed to the E.R. to check on her baby... The reporter of this article knows that and also knows that if they would have found somthing wronge they would have came out and said it!!!

The fact is if they left her leave tells the story.... In the State of Clalifornia you can not let any one leave the E.R. saying that they will be in perfect health because of the loose (Dare I say it Liberal laws ) and regulations on lawsuits

It's very easy to be cynical without the complete facts, although you do live in a very litigious society it has to be said.

However, any expectant mother involved in a car accident, no matter how trivial, would always be taken to hospital as a precautionary measure.

It's not possible to comment on the severity of the collision without knowing the facts - which are undoubtedly unattainable within the confines of a newspaper article.

All that being said, I don't think it's fair to subjectively trivialise any potential injury when it comes to something so vulnerable.

I'm also confused as to why you've decided to stick your oar in when you've contributed nothing to the debate.
