Thiago Alves, has had problems with his weight in the past, missing the welterweight limit multiple times, and was even caught using banned diuretics a few years ago. 'The Pitbull' has since changed up his diet, and made weight properly on his more recent bouts, including tonight's bout against Martin Kampmann, where he officially weighed in at 170.5 lbs.
Mike Dolce, his nutritionist who has been helping him diet and cut weight better, had a few interesting tweets about Alves' cut. He posted a photo claiming that Alves, who has always been one of the larger guys in the division, has gained a whopping 27.1 lbs in just a few hours from the official weigh-in
