No, no, and no. Things are fine the way they are. You don't need more brutality. The way things are now really test an MMA fighter's skills and ability to use the rules to his advantage. Knees to the head while grounded will bring MMA more trouble and cause a drop in popularity to those who may decide the fate of MMA. Don't be dumb. This is a bad idea. Don't sign it just because you want to see someone's head get caved in.

knees to the head of a downed opponent in the UFC will NEVER happen for one reason only...its too dangerous.

When you get kneed in the head while you're on the ground the head has less space to move when compared to getting a knee standing...the sheer force of a knee on the ground can not only cause head injury but can cause spinal injury as well

A main reason the UFC wasn't so popular back in the day was beacuse of the lack or rules...if a serious injury ever happens in the UFC (broken neck, parallelization etc) it will give idiots against MMA a reason to bark...

It will never happen

No knees to the head of an opponent who is laying down or has both hands on the mat!

And a slam from a guy as powerful as Quinton Jackson doesnt have the same potential?

There are always going to be risks in a full contact sport. How many career ending injuries can be associated with the knee to a downed opponent? If a guy like Herring or Randleman never caved in a guys skull then I assume the probability of much smaller guys doing massive damage to a fighter is less likely. Having said that i still dont think knees to a downed opponent will ever be legal
