As much as I hate the Cowboys and dislike Adam "Pacman" Jones, this is one case where I have to put the hate aside in favor of shock and sympathy-in his blog on nfl.com, Adam Schefter reports that Pacman may be done in the NFL because of an injury suffered against Pittsburgh.

The neck injury that Dallas cornerback Adam “Pacman” Jones sustained at Pittsburgh is so serious, it has ended his 2008 season and could end his career, a league source said Wednesday.

When Jones suffered the injury Sunday, his body went numb for two full minutes. Jones spent the early part of this week visiting with neck specialists, who are sending him on to more neck specialists.

Jones will undergo further examination in the Dallas area, and also is trying to schedule another meeting with another neck specialist in North Carolina.

Those who know Jones say he is “definitely done for the year” and he could be done for his career, which would be a massive blow to Jones and another one to the Cowboys.

He said 2009 in the article, I assumed he meant 2008 and edited it here.

Really sad if this is the end. Hard to put my thoughts into words right now (I'll do that on my blog) but as noted above I do have sympathy for him right now, I still don't like to see careers end because of injuries like this, no matter how troubled on & off the field the athlete might be.

Yeah i really dont like this guy but to see a career end with a neck/back injury really is sad to see for any athlete. Even if he can come back after the injury, he might be out so long that when he returns he wont be the same player.

Sorry about that, didn't think to mention Jones because that's who most people think of first when Pacman is mentioned. Thought it woudl've come first to most people and I had my mind on typing out my thoughts on it when I maed this thread.

Wow.. scary stuff with a neck injury.

I won't miss Pacman (Or Plaxico, or Vick) though. These guys represented the sport poorly IMO. Along with many others whose time will come.

I think I would have rather not played the rest of the season after the first incident if I were jones.

And wasnt the hit from Troy P., i think thats what they said on NFL live.
