10/10 for both songs above me.
The Black Keys have really started growing on me and that's my favourite song by them.
And as for "Have you seen the rain", what person doesn't love this song. I've sung this song drunk too many times.

I give it a 5. I'm completely indifferent towards it. Musically, it falls in line with my tastes. But it's just a bit too generic for me. Same goes for Cornell's performance. He's been brilliant at times over the years, but here he just doesn't really take the song anywhere. No real climax is delivered, the song just kind of meanders on. It's not bad, but it's pretty far from great.
The Damned Things- We've Got a Situation Here
It's certainly not a 10. But a fun little tune and there's one spot in the video that's laugh out loud funny.

Anything in the club music genre that doesn't use auto-tune is better than 99% of club music. I remember seeing her open at a Dyslexic Speedreaders show I was at years back and she was barely dressed, so I'll go 7/10 even though it isn't music I listen to.

To me that's a celebration of life more than "life is crap lets sit sulking over it". Condoning dying young... Really? Ke$ha might be creating a society of sluts but I'm pretty confident she's not saying to jump off a bridge, I'm also not saying she's a philosophical figure and she's banging on about how we should make the most of each day.
She's a singer who sings about enjoying life, sex alcohol whatever. Not slitting your wrists in dark rooms.

I'll give it a 6/10. The song has a great sound, but lyrics and a powerful voice matter to me and this guy is hardly audible over the instruments (which are great, but should never be the center piece of an entire song).

Exactly, shes saying be as slutty as you want, fuck tomorrow. Bad message, bad role model, we should be working hand and hand with science to try and extend life as much as possible not sulk in dark age fears of dying when we have the technology to beat aging and death.
