Should be a legit card. Im thinking FOTN is going to be a prelim fight that we wont get to see. Black/Grice, Gurgel/Robinson or Eastman Maia.

As far as winners and why.

Im taking Anderson Silva Second round tko. Rich hasnt looked impressive last 2 fights. I really like both of these guys. Silva work the clinch again. Rich needs to get it too the ground. Yeah really

Big Tim over Vera. Really big on this, you either like the guys or hate them. I dont believe the hype on Vera. If tim's back is better look for him to finish this fight. Tim needs to slug and keep his distance and Vera needs to work the clinch.

Okami over Macdonald ground and pound. Okami too strong, Macdonald isnt going to sumbit or outstrike Okami.

Burkman over Petz UD. Burkman use ground and pound to get a decision

Grice over Black via submission.

Starnes over Belcher submission.

Robinson over Gurgel decision

Eastman over Maia via tko

Bonnar over Schafer via tko

Good luck on your fight loonytnt As for the UFC 77 I hate Big Tim and would like to see him get knocked out but unfortunately I'm going to swing to the dark side and go with the big dumb ***hole Silvia.

Anderson Silva will win by unanimous decision (crazy but I truely believe it)

good luck Loonytnt WAR DIAZ!!!!

Overall this might be a boring rest of the card like the UFC 64 card where there first fight took place IMO

You know Tim will be jabbing Vera to death, but I got Vera pulling a UD...

Other then the main event the only fight of the night canidate I can see is the Eastman fight because Eastmans explosive or maybe Josh Burkman because his GNP is EXCITING!!!

But Rich is overrated IMO & will get KTFO once again but I think he will last into the 2nd because this time he wont be stupid and go into Silvas best game "The Clinch"

i cant wait for sylvia vera thats gonna be a great fight, i got big tim by ko, silva franklin will be a good one too but i see silva by decisive ko, franklin will give him trouble in round 1 tho.

Nice one MMA that looks alot nicer now

Vera will win by UD 100% guaranteed, he cant KO Tim but he is a much faster and sharper striker who win win where AA failed with the extra tools, his vicious kicks

9/19/07 8:40:37AM
ya can never be 100% sure, he might have trouble with tims reach but yeh i agree vera should win

i know most people hate him but im a sylvia fan and id like to see him beat vera....and i think franklin is gonna get broken nose number 2 ahahahahahha

should be a good one to watch

If the old Tim Sylvia returns, then Vera is going to be in a world of trouble IMO.

This card is weak sauce I'm thinkin.....it should be free on spike tv, silva is gonna smash franklin, vera is gonna hammer tim and his duckman walk. The rest of the competition should be a fight night card, kinda interested in yushin/macdonald however. Not really that solid of a card though i think

i think everyones counting out tim sylvia since his lackluster performance where he looked like crap against randy couture

but at the same time, ITS RANDY COUTURE.

i think big timmy might actually be able to win this one

I really don't see Franklin winning this. I agree that he'll make it to the 2nd round but that might be it. Silva 2nd KO

Vera has a very big speed advantage. His clinch is fantastic, so look for him to pull down the head of this giant and use his knees. Ultimatley, I feel Vera would be more comfortable on the ground, but it shouldn't matter much. Even though Silvia is much taller, Vera's reach is not far off, so I don't see reach being a factor. Vera wins UD "but only if he can't pull off a first round sub"

Okami, again has a challenge but very doable. I don't see too much striking in this one and the ground game will be utilized by both fighter. Okami in Mcdonald's guard. Going to be interesting from there, but Okami gave Franklin some trouble in the 3rd round on the mat so it leads me to believe that sub attempts will be stuffed. Okami 2nd by GNP.

Kalib just needs to keep it standing. He has 4 strong weapons, and not to say he could not work his groud game, I just think the win comes easier on the feet for him. Kalib 1st KO.

This card isn't as fun on paper as 76 was, but I bet there is going to be a few wars in there. Just a hunch :P

Franklin Gets his Nose and Ribs broken again probably in the First round, Vera wins by submission i hope armbar like Frank Mir did to Tim hehe, I believe that the rest of the fights are not that great but who knows its mma

Marvin Eastman is fighting? That guys sucks , he should give up the ufc and go do something else like taking steroids.

No Eastmean isnt fighting but i cant update the card, he had eye surgery and is out, awaiting a replacement for Meia

Sorry dude but i completly disagree with you on that! Belcher has the better striking but Kalib has the advantage in the ground so the smartest thing to do would be the opposite of what you said imho, he may not KO him but Belcher will win the fight with his strikes for sure

Jensen has replaced Eastman and will fight Meia, that will be a nice lil BJJ fight, gotta go with the BJJ wizard Meia tho

This fight card isnt half as bad as people are making out, they have just gotten too used to supercards from 73-76, this event has 2 quality main event fights and very compelling undercard fights, i dont see a bad fight happening!

Eastman's not fighting? That's good. I have no idea how he keeps getting on these cards.

I think Belcher is a better striker than Kalib, but I think Kalib is going to beat him by the second round.

FYI Eastman was going to be making his 185 debut and he would be a force at that weight, he isnt nearly as crap as you make out cos if you look at who he has lost too it aint that shamefull tbh, and im not even sure why you say "keeps" cos he has only been on 1 in recent times against Rampage, he is UFC material at 185 for sure and you should see this when he fights next once he recovers from his eye surgery

Why do I say "keeps".....gee, I don't know because he has never won a single fight in the UFC.

Also, didn't he fight Lutter at 185 lbs. or am I mistaken?
CornishMMA
10/1/07 4:07:08PM
No im pretty sure that was at 205 but if it was he has still fought the vast majority of his fights at 205 so it would be a decent justified fresh start given his tough opponents to date

But to say "keeps" like you did suggested to me it was for like the 9th time, hes actually only had 3 fights in the ufc, losing to Vitor in his prime was no travesty, the Lutter KO was just odd, and he was always going to lose to Rampage so i think you are being really harsh dude, leave some space for being outraged by Tiki being called back

Why???
The burkman petx fight will be a much better fight but thats already announced as a prelim
Id rather see the exciting LW fight of Alvin Jorge than a slow boring fight between 2 average LHW's tbh
