Just got a new TV and hung it on the wall!!!

Its a 52 inch LCD 1080p flat screen.....

My wife is upset but I really don't care

So do you guys have any tips for this thing???

I have comcast that has 20+ HD channels

But I don't have a HD box do I need one??

I have HDMI cables from the DVR box to the TV is that how I'm spossed to have it?

you do need the to have the HDbox to get HD channels.

I also have comcast(I love On Demand)

the cable will connect to the TV and to the HDbox

I think the DVR box is the HD box because when I upgraded to HD they didn't change my box

I would just call and see I think they can turn the HD on right away

I don't know much about Comcast, but usually you need a new box that has HD compatibility, and if you want the DVR as well, you need a HD/DVR reciever.

I read an article that the conclusion was <32", get a LCD, and 32"< get a Plasma so I dunno if LCD was the right choice for a 52, anyway get a PS3 now and HDMI cables.

yes if you want them all . no if you just want the network channels ... 4 , 5, 7, 11, 13, 9, will work right out of the wall . . and yes now you have to drop another 500$$ on a ps3 to get the true 1080. . i got one and its the shit

Yes, you need a box. This from the page you link to:
"Built-In HDTV Tuner: Add HD-capable antenna to receive over-the-air high-definition broadcasts, where available. Optional set-top box required for high-definition cable or satellite programming."
That you have to subscribe to from your cable/satellite provider (HD programming). How much per month it is varies but I don't think it's more than an extra $10-15.

Congrats bro, I have a 42' inch flat screen TV. Aside from getting an HD receiver, get a surround sound system, enhances everything to the max, makes you feel as if you were at the movies.

LCD vs. Plasma depends a lot on the lighting in your room.

Suggestion...

Drop Comcast and tell them to piss off...switch to Verizon FiOS as soon as it's available in your area. Waaaaaaay more than 20 HD channels.

My room has tons of light...

I hate comcast but right now they have me by my balls....

One thing though I'm not sure how many HD channels I get because untill yesterday I never flipped channels that high....

I have to do come checkin around for the HD channel thing the only real channels I care about are Spike & Speed... If they don't come in HD yet then I will wait to do a full upgrade

Comcast in my area has somewhere in the neighborhood of 40-60 based on the channel listings I've seen. You should be able to get your area's channel listings htrough their website. You might want to check out the satellite providers, Dish Network recently unveiled Turbo HD, a service it claims is 100% HD.

Tear drops remembering the day I brough home my 65" and got to watch Chuck KO Courture for the 2nd time. I also took pics to show co-workers and had my 3 year old daughter stand in front of it with her arms out to make it look that much BIGGER.

I'm picking up a 50" LCD Sony Bravia this weekend.

Looks like we'll both be enjoying the next UFC a bit more.
