There was a topic by naturaldisaster that got me thinking about this. What are some lowly rated movies that you really like. Some real box office bombs. I'll start with a few...

Here's a list of box office bombs. You don't have to choose from the list but it should be a good point of reference. List of Box Office Bombs

Battlefield Earth
Event Horizon
The Fountain
Mars Attacks
The 13th Warrior

-All of Jim Carrey's Comedies

-Event Horizon (good call wolfenstein)

-Heard a lot of people knocking the Blade series, so Blade 1,2,3

-A lot of people also seem to love hating Desperado and Once Upon A Time In Mexico, so those 2

can't think of anymore right now, just woke up.

I don't think "most people" dislike it...

Most everyone I spoke to disliked No Country For Old Men I think because it ends abruptly. Its easily top 10 of alltime for me maybe even top 5.

I liked The Darjeeling Limited and The Royal Tannenbaums(SP) and Life Aquatic.

I cant think of anything else.

Jim Carrey is hilarious and I don't think I've ever heard anyone say they dislike his comedies.

According to Netflix, I seem to have fairly commonplace opinions on the movies I've enjoyed. Of the ~200 films I rated 4 stars (5 is the highest rating) on my Netflix account, the average user rating is around 3½ stars, and only ten were below 3 stars.

These are the films that I rated a full star more than the Netlix community did:
- Bringing Out the Dead
- Demonlover
- Dogville
- Green Snake
- Irma Vep
- Roger Dodger
- Separate Lies
- Stormy Monday
- Tadpole
- We Don't Live Here Anymore

I don't think "most people" dislike [American History X]...

Yeah. Not even close. On Netflix, a million-and-a-half people rated the movie 4.3-out-of-5 stars. I think it's generally one of the most highly-regarded films ever made.

No Country For Old Men is a great movie, Sunshine was a great movie, it should have been bigger for how good it was.

Easily the "Movie" series-the films like Date Movie, Superhero Movie, Epic Movie, Disaster Movie, and technically Meet The Spartans. Everyone seems to absolutely hate those films to death except me. I just eat them up.

No county sucked because it SUCKED! It had nothing to do with the ending. If you like that movie then it definitely belongs on your list. Two hours of my life I'll never get back

My personal favorite movie of all time is Welcome to Collinwood. NOt to many people have seen it, but the ones who have didn't care for it nearly as much as I did.

Dude, Requiem for a dream is one of my favorites. Also i just bought and watched Gonzo, a documnetary on Hunter S. Thompson. I absolutly loved it. Most people probably dont know it, but not a box office buster .

Momento and 28 grams are two monumental movies that not a lot of people know. and i absolutly love. 28 grams is Benicio Del Toros best performance IMO.

i loved the movie Hot Rod, but a lot if people have either never seen in or hated it. Hot Rod is easily one of my top 5 favorite comedies and if you haven't seen i personally recommend it.

Andy Samberg = God

people also say they don't like the Butterfly Effect...i think that movie was pure genius.

after looking at the list i have to say this:

-How the hell did American History X fail so miserably in theaters? as most of you have said it is generally well liked so i just don't get that.

-Body of Lies was one of my favorite movies of 2008, i was kind of disappointed to see that on the list. the acting was phenomenal and the story line was well written.

-WTF IS BOONDOCK SAINTS DOING ON THAT LIST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ONE OF THE BEST MOVIES EVER CREATED

-maybe it was because i was little, but i most definitely cried during The Iron Giant. good movie.

-Little Nicky was hilarious, i guess other people don't agree

-Osmosis Jones was the movie that got me into biology. i can't go on a long bus ride without watching that movie.

I can't believe the most partisan movie ever created hasn't been mentioned yet.

The Blair Witch Project. I absolutely love this movie! It's one of the most creative movies ever made in my opinion.

Oh, and 13th Warrior may not have done well in the box office, but I don't know anyone who dislikes that movie.

Dude, no, I just gotta ask whether you watched those movies high cuz I really honestly thought that after the 2ed scary movie came out all the ones after it couldn't possibly be liked by anyone A- not high or B- under the age of 10

I love stupid comedies and Napolian dynamite but..... no.
