After hinting at it for about a month, Strikeforce Light Heavyweight Champion Gegard Mousasi has signed a 2-year extension with the promotion. The deal is for up to 4 fights in SF, down from an expected 7 before Mousasi split from M-1 Global in February. Mousasi will return to Japan after tomorrow's fight to participate in DREAM and wants to fight 6-8 times this year between DREAM & SF then only 3 times next year.

Well, that sucks. I really wanted to see him in the UFC.

Im really not on the Mousasi hype train like everyone else. I think he would get destroyed by the great strikers a 205 in the ufc. Hopefully he will fight Hendo soon so we can judge where he is at.

No ufc for him
I hope strikeforce can find enough worthy opponents for him
He still will be champ 2 years from now

That's a lot of fights! 6-8 in Japan, with 3 in SF as well.....10 fights in two years! Wow!

Keep in mind the japanese fights will probably be creampuffers.
