Some of you may remember that not long ago I made a thread discussin how I disliked biased popular rankings, and what they're (and often not) based on. I came up with a formula which rewards and demerits fighters based on wins/losses and more importantly how they happened and who they where against. The formula is:

a=b[(c/d + c)/10]

a= total points won/lost
b= manner of victory (1.0 for KO/SUB, 0.85 for TKO/TSUB/DQ/FFT, 0.7 for UD, 0.5 for MD/TUD, 0.3 for SD/TMD, 0.1 for TSD)
c= loser points prior
d= winnder points prior

So I was asked to come up with some top 10 lists to showcase the formula and it's effectiveness, but as I explained it is virtually impossible due to different rulesets in organizations, and where to draw the line as to where MMA begun. So I've decided to do it for the IFL only. The following are the top fighters in each weight division though there is no set number in each because of large variations in points in some cases. There ARE still flaws, as the title bonus I've awarded fighters 0.5pts, though this may be subject to change... and the divisions in weight classes where done AFTER all points where tallied, so there might be some minute differences though they're probably negligable. Anyways, enjoy... and let me know what you think!

I could, but the problem is that the UFC had some changes in rules, weight classes, time limites... etc... it would be hard.

didn't ben beat nelson...granted it was a SD but still. i am not criticizing your rankings but instead am criticizing the fact that the IFL made Nelson the champ when Rothwell is, imo, their bets HW. great job though

Yeah I've been explaining it everywhere. Rothwell actually had way more points than anyone, but with the belt bonus (which can varie so nothing is set) Nelson cruised to the top with a win and a defence.
