I read that this summer another MMA organization(kinda) will be coming to America...i havent seen anything about this in a thread so if there is my bad but....Kimo has already claimed he is in. The idea is that it will be a staged story line like the WWE has but it will be acutual MMA fights...thoughts?

I have heard that Vince wnats to start havign MMA matches. It makes sense to. Nobody is wathinc Pro Wrestling anymore and everyone is watching MMA. We might start seeing Worked MMA matches left right and center from the WWE. But i doubt it. More than likely he will bring in a few names who used to be big. Try and pull a WFA. Just with more backing. Kinda like Bodog.

i used to watch wwe regularly and i still tape it for my kids. but now i find myself ffwing through everything. im tired of the soap opera stuff. since ive been watching MMA the WWE has just gone downhill for me.
i wonder if vince would ever think about an MMA brand separate from any of the wwe stuff. you know he has the money. whatever happened with his talks with pride?
I think ive seen the undertaker in some ufc behind the scenes stuff. was i just seeing things or was that him

Would it ever come to guys accept being acually KO. Thats crazy to think about that they know there gonna get KO goin into the fight although thats how Eddie Sanchez probably felt

This would be the worst thing for MMA's legitamacy IMO. Macmahon is seen as an entertainer, practically a BIg-top carney guy. If this happen's it may be a devious way of discredting MMA .

It didnt ssay that Vince was the one in charge.....The fights are real...they just make it out to be more like a soap opera WWE style. kimo has already signed on...i read it in FIGHTSPORT...i think. It would probably attract a lot of mans but not true MMA fans IMO

Yeah but Pride is in it for the Entertainment and they worked out pretty good. I think if Vince pulled in some legit fighters and made it all real fights it would be good. If they were Exihibiton fights and essintially rigged i think it would water the sport down. It does have the potential to turn some grapplers onto the sport though. Most WWE fans wont say "HEY! i want that guy KTFO" They might like to see a sub or slam better.

This would be the league you all are referring to. Where's Kimbo Slice when you need him?

New Era Fighting

Shit's weak.

i still say that vince has the money to start his own mma brand. he can afford good fighters, good people to run it for him. he could do the hyped up soap opera junk outside of the ring and have the fights be real inside. and all the fights can be inside the steel cage and he could have tournaments inside the elimination chamber

They already did something like it. I think it was called Brawl for All, and it was basically toughman boxing. It proved to be an embarrasment though and some of their bigger named dudes got hurt too. The first match was Bart Gunn vs. Butterbean, and Butterbean brutally Ko'd him in under 30 seconds if I remember correctly.

I read about this a while back. It was a headline about how one of there signed fighters is an ex-pornstar. They would be real MMA fights but scripted storylines would be interwoven. I loathe pro wrestling with a hatred that burns like the fire of a thousand suns. I'm not really sure who they are targeting here. Would this be a good guy/ bad guy type deal. It will crash and burn. That is a promise. One of two things will happen. They will realize how improbable it is to maintain cohesive storylines when no one can guarantee the outcome of any real fight. Or to abolish this problem they will start staging "fights" which will look absolutely ridiculous for MMA. This is one of those situations where I wish I had a time machine so I could go back to when the guy who thought this up was still in the womb and push his mom down some stairs. I don't take any blending of WWE (which I despise) and MMA (which I love) lightly.

that is true. If they were to try and mix real fights with fake storylines i am sure that it would get messed up many times over. So that would quickly go to shit. If they started rigging outcomes to fights it would be lame though. People would realize they are rigged and they would lose any and all hardcore MMA fans. Any fans they did have wouldnt be enough to support the brand.
