Fedor probably wanted a rematch against Lindland

Since when do top level fighters say I want this fight but not that one. Aren't they supposed to say I will fight anyone they put in front of me.

I have to say, if what he claims is true than he might be right. To me Fedor and Sylvia are about equally marketable to the casual fan in the United States. Sylvia will fight for less money (if what Gary Shaw says about Fedor's salary are true) and is willing to fight more people. If you throw in a great up and comer who is borderline top 10 in Ben Rothwell, then the two together from a business stand-point may beat out Fedor.

I agree fighters should NOT be picky when their sitting on the throne. They fight fighters who r next in line, NOT who they feel they should fight. If they did that, What would stop a champion from picking lower-end fighters to stay on top.

That is what I was thinking.

If I had a new promotion and I had the choice to have both Sylvia and Rothwell or to just have Fedor. I would take Sylvia and Rothwell because they would be much cheaper and I could make much more matchups. If I could have just one though I would most definitely take Fedor. If I coulkd afford him lol.

Yeah, it makes perfect sense. The more top name fighters you have, the better off you will be. NOT JUST the top name. But even if Cox had all three fighters, he still has a looong way to go. Three HW's does not make a fight promotion. It doesn't even make a fight card!

Sign more fighters!!

I wonder if Sylvia and Rothwell are willing to fight each other?
