I thought I'd post links to some MMA-related music, for the enjoyment of all. Feel free to add your own.

I don't know if I need to post a disclaimer on this site, but there's some "harsh language" in some of these songs (in more than one language), so don't be a doofus and crank up the volume while you're in class or make your 5-yr-old sister listen to them over and over.


The PRIDE FC theme. New UFC fans might know it as Cro Cop's entrance music. Old Pride fans might get a little misty-eyed. *sniff*

The UFC theme song. "Face the Pain", by Stemm.

B.J. Penn's entrance music. "Hawai'i 78", by Israel "Iz" Kamakawiwo'ole.

B.J. Penn's UFC 63 intro. Uses the opening bars of "Hawai'i 78" by Iz, and then segues into "Crazy" by Gnarls Barkley.

Music no UFC fighter wants to hear. "Enae Volare Mezzo", by ERA.

Chuck Liddell's entrance music. "Intro" by DMX, from the album It's Dark and Hell is Hot.

Georges St. Pierre's entrance music. "Samurai", by Shurik'n.

Matt Hughes' entrance music. "A Country Boy Can Survive", by Hank Williams, Jr.

Quinton Jackson's theme song. "Rampage", by PAK.

Sean Sherk's entrance music. Starts with the "Theme from 'Jaws'" by John Williams, then segues to "Wait" by Earshot. Thanks to MrLehman for the link.

I've looked for the TUF theme song ("The Ultimate Remix", by Jarrid Mendelson) and the UFC theme song, but can't find them anywhere. It might be that the UFC won't allow them to get around the Web.

Hmm... All of the links I provided happen to be to YouTube, fwiw. It's possible that if you're in a place like a library, or a school, or a business with a firewall, that they block the site altogether.

Does anyone else have a problem with these links?

i think fedors is era - ameno, not enae volare mezzo.. i might be mistaken tho, and ameno might be aleks' entrance music.

No, Fedor's music it's not Ameno. Enae Volare Mezzo is correct.

I have the Era album. Their music is great, but their videos are really cheesy.

I am aware that it was rare. I thought it was funny. Joe Rogan was like "That is the scariest man to ever come out to Duran Duran" I guess the UFC didn't like him coming out to the Pride Theme when he fought Eddie and put an end to it. Now the the Pride purchase is complete and seeing as he got KOed using Duran Duran, I think he will be going back.

There's also BJ's UFC 63 intro, which used the opening bars of "Hawai'i 78" and then segued into "Crazy" by Gnarls Barkley. Maybe that's the one you're thinking of? At the TUF 5 Finale, he dropped the Gnarls and just went with Iz.

I figured most people would know the Gnarls Barkley song though, or could find out what it was easily enough, so I chose the other one. And it's also possible that the performance by Iz in the video I posted is a little different from whichever version BJ chose to use. Musicians almost never play songs exactly the same way twice. In fact, if song at a live performance sounds exactly the same as it does on the studio album, it might be a sign they're lip-synching (hello Fergie!).

Here are a couple you might want to confirm and add

Andrei Arlovski - Onward to Victory by Hatebreed (or Icepick?)

Tito's - Mosh By Eminem

Randy - Back in the Saddle by Aerosmith (but I think it was just for the one fight)

I dont have any themes to add, but I do have a pretty handy technique for grabbing youtube songs as mp3s...

Visit the link below.
Click 'URL', and load the url of the youtube/whatever video with the song you want...
It will prompt you to choose what format you want to change it into... pick mp3
enter your email address
click convert and wait for it to load. Once it loads, it will send you an email, containing the link to the mp3 download. The whole process takes less than 2 minutes, and the email is in your box within 15... Just an easy way to grab these for longevity's sake.

Look at the link I posted at the top of this page. It has a ton of songs. Some are linked within and some aren't. This one wasn't, but since you referred to it as Mir's musci from UFC 48 and not the actual song name and artist, I'm assuming you didn't know it. It's not on youtube, but now that you have the name I'm sure you can find it somewhere.

I updated the first post, for easy reference.

I'm not sure if I should include "God's Gonna Cut You Down", since it isn't for one particular fighter (according to the link Rush provided, it's been used by Jason Lambert and Spencer Fisher). My original, albeit unspoken, intention was to list songs and/or mashups that are either unique to MMA or evocative of a particular fighter. But by all means, keep posting whatever you want to, I'm not a thread-National-Socialist.

I've been listening to that one myself, actually. GSP and BJ's intro music are my favorites so far, I think.
