Hi guys! I saw a contest on ESPN called "Who's Now" a contest where people can nominate their greatest athletes. And I heard Randy Couture has lots of nominations there. http://www.mma-forum.com/here-vp28538.html#28538
Actually i did nominate him too, co'z I think he deserves to be included on that list of greatest athletes.
What do you think guys?

honestly I think fedor is probably the most decorated athlete fighting in MMA right now. His list of 1-3 place finishes in Judo and Sambo competitions is pretty long on top of his MMA pedigree. Not many MMA fighters have all around athletic records that can compare.

-EDIT- Of course since this is on ESPN, the only MMA fighters who really have a chance in hell of getting on there are randy and chuck... MAYBE rampage, and while Randy does deserve it for his wrestling pedigree, I don't really think chuck or rampage do.

I'm sporry, but Randy wont make it very far in the bracket. MMA is just getting on ESPN, and do u really think america will take randy over LeBron James, well see though. He has pulled off the upset many times before...lol

This is in part due to the difference between being able to actively compete in Sambo / Judo tournaments later in life... And the lack of such opportunities for collegiate / greko / freestyle wrestlers...

When you think of a natural athlete, I think of Randy... While Fedor has a very natural gift for fighting, any man would want to be able to compete and even look like Randy while in their mid forties.

Randy gets my vote

Cool.. now I can assure that Randy will make it to the list of ESPN's "Who's Now". He really deserves to be included, he has the ability and characteristics of being a real athlete. He did a good job inside the octagon and even outside, he has lots of endorsements and he get involve in entertainment indusrty he even appeared on TV.
Infact there are lots of story to tell about this greatest champion...
